Susan Dawn King, 39, of Dinwiddie, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011 at her residence.
She was the daughter of Diane V. Wilcox and the late Donald L. Gilbert. She graduated from Prince George High School. She received her associateâ??s degree in Communication Studies through the John Tyler-Old Dominion University Partnership and she was to further pursue her bachelorâ??s degree this summer. She was employed through the United States Postal Service in the Chester Branch. Susan spent her days taking care of her many animals; nothing in the world made her happier than loving her two children and spending time with her family. Although she only had two children, she was a mother to everyone around her. She was a strong, beautiful woman and the perfect mom. Nothing could shine brighter than her smile. She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Brooke Gilbert; one son, Walter Tristan Moore both of Church Road; mother, Diane V. Wilcox; sister, Rhonda Lynn Gilbert; step father, Jim Wilcox all of Prince George; her husband, Daniel L. King of Church Road; step children, Dalton and Chasity King; the Fender Family and Vohun Family in addition to numerous friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
