Susan Macminn Wood

Susan MacMinn Wood, 61, known to friends and family as Susie, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late David E. MacMinn, Jr.; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert MacMinn; and a sister, Diane Murray. Susie enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening and was a caretaker to all. She had a deep love for her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Susie is survived by her husband, Mark Wood; three children, Jeff MacMinn and wife, Melissa, Beth Shumaker and husband, Brian and Thomas Wood; four grandchildren, Emma, Chloe, Evan and Landen; a brother, David MacMinn and wife, Deborah; a sister, Cindy Ewing; life-long friend, Merry Reed and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
