Susie Mayton

Susie Elizabeth Mayton, 61 of Dinwiddie died December 31, 2003. She was the widow of James Waverly Mayton and the daughter of the late Horace Robert and Gladys Elizabeth Williams Seward. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Sue Lawrence (John Michael); two sons, Joseph Allen Leary (Betty Mae) and Horace Waverly Mayton; grandchildren, Christy Marie Cliborne, Rebecca Sue Cliborne, Edward Allen Cliborne, Levi Allen Leary, Joseph Allen Leary, Jr., James Waverly Mayton, Kailey Michelle Mayton and Jamie Elizabeth Mayton; five sisters, Mary Ann and Herbert Dawson of McKenney, Ruby and Raymond Myers of Conway, SC, Shirley Winckler of Boydton, VA, Lydia and Ross Cottee of Jarratt, Va and Sally and Al Petric of Warfield, Va.; three brothers, Robert and Betty Seward of South Hill, VA., Robert and Carrie Maitland of McKenney and Rufus and Sheila Maitland of Petersburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am Friday, January 2nd , in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm tonight at the funeral home. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Cemetery.
