Susie Melton

Susie Neace Melton, age 73, of Chester, VA, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010. She was born in Breathitt, KY, the daughter of the late Cager and Hallie Veaton Neace. Mrs. Melton was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis S. Melton. She is survived by her children, Sue Ellen Hicks of Chesterfield, VA, Sue Ann Lawson of Highland Springs, VA, and Louis Scott Melton of Chester; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Dora Hogg; and a brother, Mize Neace, both of KY. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, October 21, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with entombment afterwards in the Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
