Susie Skalsky

Susie Sluka Skalsky, 103 of Prince George County, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susie Sluka. She was the widow of Frank J. Skalsky. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Skalsky and grandson, Bruce Skalsky. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and the Womanâ??s Club of Prince George Co. She operated and maintained a farm until the age of 75. She came to the United States in 1919 from Yugoslavia through Ellis Island. She is survived by her son, Sam Skalsky and wife Constance of Colonial Heights; daughter, Ruth Gallo and husband, Richard of California; three granddaughters, Cheryl Creason and husband, Richard of Annandale, Virginia, Beth Webb and husband, Mike of California; Paula Moegling and husband, Dan of Prince George; Kathryn Skalsky, wife of Bruce, Yvonne Skalsky wife of Paul, both of Prince George, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Oakland Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
