Teresa E. Henry

Teresa Elaine Henry, 66, of Powhatan, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Born on September 13, 1957 in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Helen Woody. Teresa retired from Altria after 31 years of dedicated service. She was a devout Christian and had attended Victory Tabernacle Church in Chesterfield, VA. Teresa and her husband, Don, were married on July 4, 1984 in Virginia Beach. After their wedding, they enjoyed spending time in both Virginia Beach and in the Corolla and Duck areas of North Carolina. Teresa was a lover of animals, and had just lost her precious "Rocky" in July of 2022. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Don Henry; two children, Cathy Jordan and her husband, Jay and Brian Henry and wife, Tara; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Bohl, Brynne and Beckett Henry; her brother, Michael Woody and wife, Angie; one niece, Cara Pantaleo and husband, Chris; and a nephew, Brandon Woody and wife, Maggie. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Bennett Funeral Home West Chapel, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park, Henrico, VA. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In keeping with Teresa's love for animals, the family requests donations be made to your local SPCA in memory of Teresa Henry.
