Teresa 'Honey' Karen Holmes

Teresa “Honey” Holmes, 61, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Born in Pensacola, FL she was the daughter of the late Ed Lusk and Mackey Thurn; and was also preceded in death by her sister, Laura Lusk; and a brother, John Lusk. Honey loved many things in life, but none were greater than the love that she had for her grandchildren. If you were fortunate enough to know her, you know her love and compassion for others was unmatched. Her bright green eyes and big smile were magnetic. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Holmes; her children, Monique Bowyer (Tim), Morgan Humphries (Billy), Leslei Kuykendall (John) and Alex Holmes (Gabby); grandchildren, Dakota Bowyer, Riley and Sawyer Humphries, Cody Holmes, McCoy Kuykendall and his unborn brother; and her brothers Mark Lusk (Sheila) and Timothy Thurn (Cindy); her sister-in-law Mary Grace Holmes, and many extended family members. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Teresa would have wanted memorial contributions be made to the Donald J.
