Teresa Jordon

Teresa McNew Jordon, a loving mother and grandmother, passed at age 59, on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Teresa was born February 28, 1963 in Hopewell, Virginia to Emma & Julios McNew. She received her bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and started working for dealerships in the area. She spent the past 20 plus years working for Carter Myer Automotive.

Teresa was a kind, loving and generous person. Her passions were truly the simple things in life like reading, window shopping after dinner at a restaurant, and taking trips to visit her relatives. What she enjoyed most though was being a grandma. She was a woman who would do without so you didn't have to, the absolute definition of selfless.

Teresa is survived by her son, Travis Jordon, (Samantha); her two grandchildren, Wyatt & Merritt; and her sisters, Phyllis Smith & Betty Lang. She is survived also by her extensive group of family members and friends.

The family will receive friends for a memorial service at J. T. Morriss & Son - Hopewell Chapel, 820 W Broadway Avenue, on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Flowers are welcome or a donation to a local rescue in her honor. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
