Teresa Faye Malcom

October 19, 1964 — March 27, 2020

With tear filled eyes and aching hearts we say “GOD welcomed another Angel into Heaven”. On March 27th Teresa Faye Malcom left us to be with our Lord Jesus, her mother Naomi, grandmother Mae, grandfather Rudy, father James, stepfather Harvey, brother Jim, uncle Carbide, aunt Phillis and her cousin “Tiger” all of whom she dearly loved.
Although she had beat cancer before in 2005, it came back. And now after a hard fought battle with pneumonia and cancer, she left this world peacefully surrounded by her family.
To say she will be missed is an understatement; Teresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who passionately cared for her family and friends. For years she was the primary caregiver for her older brother Jim, who suffered from cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis. Through her love and care Jim was at home to the age of 50, after doctors said he would never make it past 20. Her grandmother was her “Matron of Honor” at her wedding, and she willingly and lovingly provided “in home hospice” for her mother who succame to cancer. Teresa was not happy unless her loved ones were happy; she truly enjoyed daily babysitting her granddaughter Naomi while her daughter was at work. Her brother Rodney fondly characterized her as a “Mother Teresa” trying to take care of everyone, and she herself always said “no one will leave my house hungry”.
Teresa was a strong woman who suffered much loss of loved ones in her life, despite those losses she continued to carry on family traditions and host family gatherings, teaching her daughters Maggie and Emily the importance of family and friends. She cherished the relationships she had with her brothers Mike and Rodney and her sister-in-law and niece (Robbi & Demi) and held them close to her heart.
Throughout her life she showed GOD’s love through her deeds and caring heart, her work here on earth will live on through her family and friends.
The family will celebrate Teresa’s life privately. Tributes to her can be posted on the J T Morris & Son web site and donations can be made to the Special Olympics in lieu of flowers.
