Theresa Vinsh Blaha, 95, passed away at her home in Petersburg. She was born on January 17, 1916, the fourth of nine children of Antonia and Bartholemew Vinsh. She is preceded in death by her husband Louis John Blaha, her daughter Rosemarie and grandson Kevin Jones, her sisters Mary Blazek and Annie Hanzlik, brothers Frank, Joe, Wesley, John and Charles Vinsh. She is survived by her brother, Robert Vinsh(Josephine) of Concord, N.C.; children, Jenny Jones, Lucille Moran, and Louis John Blaha, Jr. (Brenda); four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. A funeral mass will be said 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at St. Johnâ??s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday with a rosary service beginning at 6 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. Many thanks and appreciation go to Care Advantage, Hospice of Virginia and the loving, gentle care of the nursing staff of the cardiac care unit at Southside Regional Hospital. Special thanks and gratitude to Elizabeth Piecek for faithfully visiting and bringing the Sacrament of Holy Communion every week, and to Dorothy Brockwell for her support, comfort and assistance throughout Theresaâ??s illness.
