Theresia Gertrude Mertens Eberlin, 86, of Prince George, died Thursday, October 26, 2006. She was born in Hermann, Missouri and resided with her daughter, Patricia Spacek for the past several years due to failing health. She was employed by the Missouri Division of Employment Security for over twenty years, Secretary of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security, and retired from the Missouri Division of Aging as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Eberlin was a charter member of the Roy Sone Post #1003, Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, long time member of American Legion Auxiliary, an active member of the Cole County Republican Womans Club for many years, member of Immaculate Conception Parrish over 60 years and the St. Maryâ??s Health-Care Center Auxiliary . She was appointed to the Jefferson City Commission on Aging and the Governors Commission on Aging. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter S. and Viola T. Berend Mertens and her husband Ralph R. Eberlin. Surviving are her son, Larry Eberlin and wife Nita Eberlin of Columbia, SC. a daughter, Patricia Eberlin Spacek of Prince George, grandchildren, Laura Eberlin Stephens and husband Fred of Columbia, SC., Patrick Spacek of Jacksonville,FL., Joe Eberlin and his wife Paula of Irmo, SC., Kristina Spacek of Prince George, VA., Jennifer Eberlin of Columbia, SC., three great-grandchildren, Virginia Rose Eberlin, Codey Stephens, Joey Eberlin all of Columbia, SC. and a sister, Amanda Misseldine and husband Albert of Adrian, Michigan, thirteen nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends, Marie Skouby, of Hermann, Missouri and Rita Beul of Jefferson City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 10:AM in Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City, Missouri. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church 1206 E.
