Thomas Claiborne Beale Sr.

Thomas “Tommy” C. Beale, Sr., 76, of Chester, VA passed away on June 21, 2015. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late Thomas Alexandra and Mary Doyle Beale; and was also preceded in death by a son, Mickel W. Beale; and two brothers, Roy E. Beale and Gerald Beale. Tommy was a longtime member of Wood’s United Methodist Church in Matoaca. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margie L. Beale; one son, Thomas C. “Clay” Beale, Jr.; two daughters, Rhonda Cope and husband, Mike and Teresa Bailey and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Beth Barfield, Raymond Easter, Eric Easter, Thomas Bailey, Brandy Nisewonger and husband, John, and Bea Beale; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Jasper, Trip, Sophie and Madi Lou; daughter-in-law, Lilian Beale; one brother, Guy F. Beale, Sr. and wife, Lou; a niece, Mary Traylor and husband, Hubert; one nephew, Guy F. Beale, Jr. and wife, Tammy; two sisters-in-law, Mary Danforth and Shirley Tanner; and numerous other loving friends and family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the funeral home, with the Reverend Joseph Carson, officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
