Thomas Allen Bowden

Thomas Allen Bowden, 81, of Chesterfield, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015. He was born in Richmond, VA to the late Thomas C. and Ruth Ethel Knighton Bowden. Thomas was also preceded in death by his companion of 37 years, Mamie Kathleen Bowers; and three siblings, Gaynell Sage, Gordon Boyd, and Floyd Bowden. Thomas served in the United States Army National Guard. He later went on to work for Reynolds Metal retiring after many years of service. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to camp and fish. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and a variety of sports. Thomas is survived by his two daughters, Teresa Dunn (Wayne) and Donna Strickland (Chuck); son, Chris Bowden; nephew, Scott Boyd and family; five grandchildren, Melissa Johnson, Stephanie Dunn, Megan Johnson, Sheila Love, and Darryl Dunn; 12 great-grandchildren; and dog, Casey. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral home.
