Thomas Browder

Thomas Bryant Browder, Sr., 73, of Dinwiddie County, passed away on January 28, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph L. Browder and Lola Mae Stokes; and a brother, Joseph Lee Browder. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 26 years of service in which he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was an avid fisherman, and loved camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Della Mae Browder; a son, Thomas B. Browder, Jr.; a daughter, Hope Yvonne Rowland and husband, Timmy; grandchildren, Michael Riggs, Matthew Rowland, Jeffery Bryant Browder, Tiffany Nicole Browder; great-grandson, Royce T. G. Smith; sister, Mildred Ann Douglas; a faithful companion, Rebel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 1, 2011, from 6-8 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service with military honors will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
