Thomas Francis Brownell

Thomas Francis Brownell, 78, of Chester, VA passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023. Born in Syracuse, New York he was the son of the late Randall C. and Mary Meaney Brownell; and was also preceded in death by two wives, Jean Brownell and Nancy Brownell. Thomas faithfully served his county in the United States Army having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a dedicated member of Walthall Baptist Church in Chester, VA. Mr. Brownell will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his five children, Mark Brownell (Michelle), Alicia Furbeck (Jim), Standford Brownell, Bryan Brownell, and Debbie Walton (Barry); eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary Delore. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
