Thomas William Chappell, Sr.

Thomas William Chappell, Sr., 84, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edmond and Virginia Mae Chappell; and his brother, Carlton (Shorty) Chappell. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Irene Phillingane Chappell; children, Thomas (Tommy) Chappell and wife, Angie, Rebecca (Becky) Hayes and husband, Sam, and Andrew (Andy) Chappell; grandchildren, Denise Chappell, Matthew Hayes and wife, Meredith, Sarah Hayes, Nathan Hayes, and Thomas (TW) Chappell; and his sister, Mildred Mizelle. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the residence of Thomas and Irene Chappell, 13812 Old Stage Rd, Dinwiddie, VA 23841. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Southlawn Memorial Park.
