Thomas Franklin “Frank” Crowder, 90 of Prince George, passed away on February 18, 2013. He was born on December 3, 1922 in Petersburg, Va. and was the son of the late Thomas F. and Virginia Mason Crowder of Stony Creek, VA. Mr. Crowder is survived by his wife, Martha Hobson Crowder; two sons, Thomas Mason Crowder and wife, Carrie Camp of Goochland, Va. and Robert Hobson Crowder of Dinwiddie, Va; and three grandchildren, Mason, West, and Bennett Camp Crowder. Frank served three years in the Pacific Theater in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He graduated from Hampden Sydney College where he was a member of KA Fraternity. He was an active member of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church in Petersburg, having served as a vestry man, Senior Warden, and Superintendent of the Sunday School. He with Bob Howard for many years coached the boys basketball teams. Frank retired from Seward Luggage Company as the purchasing director after many years of service. He especially enjoyed hunting with his dogs, and sailing at Fishing Bay. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 22, 2013 in Christ and Grace Episcopal Church with inurnment to follow in the church memorial garden.
