Thomas Heartwell

Thomas Bourdon Heartwell, 89, of Arnold, MD, died April 27, 2008. Born in McKenney, VA, he lived in Portsmouth, VA for 38 years. After retiring from Metropolitan Insurance, he moved to Holiday, FL. He enjoyed helping others, shuffleboard, dancing and playing cards. He was a life long Mason and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lois Bryant Heartwell, his father George Heartwell, mother Bessie Bourdon Heartwell, and a brother Floyd Heartwell. He is survived by his daughter Judith Hobaugh, son-in-law Stephen Hobaugh, granddaughter Christina Hobaugh, all of Arnold, MD; sister Elizabeth Parker of Concord, NH; brother Richard Heartwell of Colonial Heights, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Petersburg, VA Chapel of J.T. Morris & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
