Thomas Kelly

Thomas Richard Kelly, 67, of Hopewell, VA, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mr. Kelly was born in Moundsville, West Virginia and had been a long time resident of Hopewell, VA. He was the son of the late Richard L. and Martha Irene Phillips Kelly. Mr. Kelly was a retired truck driver and had served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Laura Jean Kelly of Hopewell, a son, Thomas P. Kelly of Colonial Heights, VA, two daughters, Deborah J. Hartley and her husband Robert, Tina L. Allen, all of Phenix City, AL, four grandchildren, Amanda Hartley, Todd Allen, Ashley Allen, Heather Eldredge, five great grandchildren, Matthew Hartley, Landon McKissic, Levi J. Allen, Summer E. Allen, Hailey J. Eldredge, two sisters, Twila Simmons of Weston, West Virginia, Jane Bradshaw of Ohio, and several cousins, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends Friday, December 11, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with David Williamson, brother-in-law of Mr. Kelly officiating.
