Thomas Joseph Mccormick

Thomas Joseph McCormick, 88, of Prince George, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late J. Eugene McCormick and Margaret Mary Sughrue. He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy E. McCormick; and his beloved wife of 55 years, L. Patricia McCormick.

Thomas is survived by his children, Mark McCormick (Karen), Patrick McCormick, Catherine Warthen (Daniel), and Terri Gilbert (Scott); grandchildren, Amanda, Peter, and Sara Warthen, Meaghan Gilbert, Tyler (Heather) and Kristina Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Houston Pomeroy and Aiden Hammond.

Thomas was employed as a chemical engineer at Allied Signal for 33 years. He served honorably in the United States Army. Thomas enjoyed watching sports, coaching, and spending time with his family.

A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
