Thomas Allen Mcgee

Thomas Allen McGee. Tommy left this life on Tuesday, April 14th at age 73 to rejoin family and old friends who have journeyed on ahead of him. A lifelong resident of Chester, Virginia, Tommy graduated from Thomas Dale High School where he excelled in the athletics he loved. He worked in the tobacco industry and then went on to a 37 year career as a millwright with DuPont. He found joy in field and forest in the autumn and winter, hunting with good friends. He is predeceased by parents Elizabeth and John McGee and daughter Judy, and is survived by his sister Betty Hopper, brother John Jr., longtime caring companion Sue Lowman, niece Michelle Bennett, and great niece and nephew Isabella and Maximillian Bennett. The family extends its gratitude to the compassionate staffs of Johnston Willis Hospital, The Laurels of Willow Creek, and especially, to Chippenham Hospital. A Memorial service will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chester Chapel 3050 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831 Sunday, April 19th, 2 PM, with visitation to follow from 3-5 PM.
