Thomas Nicholson

Thomas Iredell Nicholson, 67, of Hopewell died Thursday, December 2, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and had been a life long resident of the Hopewell area. Mr. Nicholson was a member of American Legion post #146, a member of Loyal Order of the Moose #1472, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, and a retired operator from Allied Signal Corporation. He was the son of the late James and Lucy Beale Nicholson and the widower of Mamie Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson is survived by two sisters, Helen N. Hargrave of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Priscilla N. Black of Hampton, VA, one brother, James G. Nicholson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, one step-daughter, Brenda Langston of Bumpass, VA, one step-son, Bobby Hensley, of Marshall, NC and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 7, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A private interment service will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
