Thomas Peebles

Thomas Briggs Peebles, 85 of Carson died April 9, 2004. He was the widower of Ella Manson Beville Peebles and the son of the late Nathaniel Proctor, Sr., and Mary Belvidere Briggs Peebles. He served in WWII as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and was a retired employee of Georgia-Pacific. He is survived by his son, John T. Peebles and wife Lola of Richmond; three grandchildren, Crystal, Mary Ellen and Michael Peebles; several nieces and nephews; and a family friend, Lisa Pierce. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary L. Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Sunday evening at the Funeral Home.
