Thomas Smith

Thomas G. Smith, of Chester, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011. He was born in 1951 in San Diego, CA. Tommy was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, son, and uncle. He worked for Sloan Construction of Mechanicsville and enjoyed golf, fishing, swimming, coaching soccer, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie C. Smith and his brother, Gary W. Smith. Tommy is survived by his wife, Faye B. Smith; children, Mac Smith, Celena Smith Waller and husband, Ray, and Brad Graves and his wife, Dawn; grandchildren, Savannah Waller, Garrett Graves and Ethan Graves; mother, Alice Huff and husband, Harry; brother, Richard Smith and wife, Susan; sister, Barbara Smith Rowe and husband, Steve; cousin, Kathy Farrell; nieces and nephews, Bennie Smith, Rachel Von Garrel and husband, Conrad, Patrick Smith and wife, Leah, Greg Smith and wife, Sherry, Jessica Harris and husband, Bryan, and Adam Rowe and wife Leslie. A celebration of Tommyâ??s life will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bellwood Baptist Church, 9138 Quinnford Blvd., Richmond, VA 23237.
