Thomas Ernest Legacy, 65, of DeWitt, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born in Hartford, CT and raised in Rhode Island, he was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Waite Monis; and brother, Jeffrey Legacy.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge, he received a degree in Business Management. He went on to work for Honeywell, retiring after 36 years. Thomas was an avid NASCAR enthusiast. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being outdoors, and spending time with his friends. Most of all, he loved being around his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Legacy; daughter, Tanya Neville; son, Geoffrey Legacy (Rachel); grandchildren, Joseph Legacy, Zachary Legacy, Kenneth Neville, Julia Legacy, and Victoria Legacy; father, Ernest Lagacy; sister, Deborah Legacy Machado; and brother, Ernest Lagacy, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Tunnel to Towers Foundation online or mailed to 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
