Thurman James Brittain, Jr.

Thurman James Brittain, Jr., 80, of Chesterfield, VA, passed into his Lord's Presence, on December 16, 2023. He was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He was the son on the late Thurman and Florence Brittain, Sr.; and preceded in death by his devoted wife, Hazel Brittain. He is survived by his son, Adam C. Brittain; daughter, Amy Payne; and son-in-law, Kevin Payne; his grandchildren, Michael Wilson and Ashley Payne; a special stepdaughter, Linda Knight, and her husband, Chip Knight, and their children and grandchildren; and other children and family of Hazel Brittain.

He was an avid model train collector, a member of Hyles Baptist Church where he faithfully served. Above all he loved sharing the gospel of Jesus.

A funeral service will take place at Hyles Baptist Church, 7220 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, VA, 23832, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to immediately follow at Dale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., one-hour prior to the service. Donations may be made to Hyles Baptist Church or the charity of your choice in Thurman's memory.
