Timothy Craig Rotz, 59, of North Chesterfield, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, May 13, 2023, with his family and friends by his side. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Melissa Ann Rotz; son, Zachary Craig Rotz (Ashley Currin) and soon-to-be granddaughter; daughter, Chelsea Niccole Rotz, of North Chesterfield; parents, Thomas and Sarah Yinger, of Carlisle, PA; brother, Ronald Edwin Rotz, Jr. (Vicki), of Carlisle, PA; stepsister, Suzanne Yinger Martin (Eric), of Etters, PA; stepbrother, Mark Yinger (Kristi), of Dillsburg, PA; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was the son of the late, Ronald Edwin Rotz, Sr., of Gettysburg, PA.
Timothy was born in York, PA and grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA. He graduated from Bethany Christian Academy. He served in the US Navy for 10 years as an Electronic Warfare Technician, where he eventually settled in VA and was employed by VA-ABC as an IT professional.
Timothy loved spending time with his family and friends, watching movies, listening to music, cooking, and entertaining. He deeply loved his dog and companion, Skylar, and other family pets.
The family would like to express special thanks and gratitude to Dustin Stanley; Johnathan Beasley; Chris West; Tim's best friend, RJ Mills; and friend and colleague, Cary Jones, for being present as Tim transitioned to the Lord.
The family will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date.
