Travis Henry Grodski

Travis Henry Grodski, 38, of Matoaca, VA passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. Born in Richmond, VA he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry Grodski, Sr. and James R. Gray, Sr. Travis was a 1998 graduate of Thomas Dale High School and a 2002 graduate of VCU where he received his Bachelor’s degree. Travis was currently employed by Capital One in the security department. He had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow. He was an avid Formula 1 racing fan and enjoyed staying busy with physical activities. He is survived by his father, Hank Grodski, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, SC; his mother, Micky Grodski of Chester, VA; a half-sister, Corinne Grodski of Raleigh, NC; his maternal grandmother, Jenny Mitterer and husband, Otho of Mechanicsville, VA; paternal grandmother, Louise Grodski of Southampton, NY; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
