Travis "Spike" Wells

Travis William “Spike” Wells, 89, a lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Travis and Susie Jackson Wells. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was a retired employee of Dinwiddie County. Spike was an animal lover and was especially fond of his dogs. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hannah Chappell Wells. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 18th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with The Reverend Ron D. Plyler officiating. Entombment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dinwiddie Fire & EMS, P.O. Drawer 70, Dinwiddie, VA 23841, or to an animal protection and rescue charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
