Troy Wayne Howlett

Troy Wayne Howlett, age 31, of Charles City, died unexpectedly at home, and went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 30, 2018. Troy is formerly of Hopewell and Prince George County. He is survived by his parents, Kevin Howlett of Hopewell and Donna Williams Watson of Charles City, and Step-Dad, Dr. Beecher Watson of Charles City. Troy has two close and loving brothers, Todd Howlett of Prince George and Adam Howlett of Prince George, and a sister-in-law, Jessica. He also has two step-brothers, Beecher Watson III and Winthrop Watson; and a step-sister, Anna Watson. Troy also has several nephews that he loves deeply, Brandon, Landon, Bryson, and Talan. He also has many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Those knowing Troy best remember him for his big heart and love of family. Family meant everything to Troy, and he almost never missed a single family event—big or small. If there was a family BBQ, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, wedding, the annual family week at White Lake, or any family gathering, you could always count on Troy being there. Troy’s heart was as big as his smile. He keenly felt other’s happiness, pain, and sorrow. When others hurt, Troy hurt. He gave to others, even when he had little or nothing to give. He so loved Maggie, his dog. Troy loved the Lord, and he often quoted from the Lord’s words, because our Lord made more sense than anything on or of this earth. He was a born-again Christian. Troy is with our Lord in Paradise, and those of us who love him so dearly, will miss him like crazy, but know that we will see him again and rejoice. There is an old saying that someone is alive as long as they are remembered. Troy, you will be loved and remembered by your family, your Mama, Daddy, brothers, and all of us; until we join you in Heaven. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 820 W. Broadway Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860.
