Tyeve Devane

Tyeve Tameka DeVane, 30, of Chester, VA, died on Sunday September 30, 2007. She was born on September 12, 1977, in Bronx, New York. Mrs. DeVane actively served in the US Army for three years. She then received an associateâ??s degree from Remington Medical School, FL, where she graduated with honors. Tyeve was currently serving in her third year with the Army Reserves. She met her husband of five years, staff Sgt. Demetrius DeVane, in the Army at Fort Drum in New York, and has been taking care of him ever since. Also surviving are two children DeAna S. DeVane, and Kimora S. DeVane; mother Wanda Snyder, of Chester, VA; father John E. Johnson, of Newark, NJ; three brothers Steven, John, Jr., and Julian; grandmother Gertrude Snyder; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m., at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, VA.
