Tynis Ashby

Trynis Marie Ashby, 64, of Colonial Heights died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born in Petersburg and was the daughter of the late James Patterson and Wilma Elizabeth Hughes Brown. She was a hairdresser for 35 years and was an employee at Hair Plus. She had formerly served as president of the Southside Hairdresser’s Association. She is survived by her husband, Harry Carlton Ashby, Sr.; daughter, Doris Marie Droddy and husband, Robert; son, Harry Carlton Ashby, Jr. and wife, Laura; five grandchildren, Jeremey Carlton Fuller and wife, Toni, Jennifer Marie Brown, Caleb Bryson Lee, Christopher Carlton Ashby and Caitlin Suzanne Ashby; and a sister, Sandra Hawkins. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Baptist Church, 7925 Hickory Road, Chesterfield. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Oaklawn Baptist Church with the interim pastor, Rev. William Parrish, officiating. The family is being served by J. T.
