Tyus Purter-Jones

Tyus Xavier Purter-Jones, 4 years old, of Jamestowne Road, Williamsburg, VA died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Bitburg, Germany. Tyus was a kindergarten student at Woodlawn Christian School in Hopewell. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Rev. Cleveland and Mattie Smith. Tyus is survived by his parents, Johnny Melvin and Akesa Purter Jones, one sister, Nijah Nykal Purter-Jones all of Williamsburg, grandparents, Marilynn Elifritz and Christopher Elifritz both of Waldorf, MD, Rodger Purter of Savannah, GA, Shirley Ann Miles of Glen Burnie, MD, great grandparents, Annie Mae Miles, Sandy Miles both of Glen Burnie, MD and Uravine Purter of Eclectic, AL, Delmer and Kathy Elifritz of Bradford, OH and a host of aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 3:00PM in Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Hendricks, pastor officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00PM until the hour of the service. Interment will be held Monday, February 23, 2004 in Maryland. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
