Vadyon Hayes

Vadyon Beatrice Hayes, age 79, of Chester, VA, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011. She was born in Saltville, VA, the daughter of the late Lester and Lillian Six Mabe. Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Prince George, VA and a volunteer at Atlantic Baptist Bible College. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Carles Hayes; children: Mike Hayes, Kim Valentino; grandchildren: Angela, Samantha Matthews; great-grandchild, Jayden Morrison; sisters: Ruth Odelene Hale and husband Curtis, Geraldine Strunk and husband Bob. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Baptist Church, Prince George, VA, with interment afterwards in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester.
