Vaiden Sr. Watkins

Vaiden Eugene Watkins, Sr. age 75, of Petersburg, VA, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010. He was born in Bluefield, WV, the son of the late Henry Watkins and Edna Robinnette Weatherford. Mr. Watkins was also preceded in death by his wife, Joanne E. Watkins. He was a career welder, beginning with Southern Material at their Willis Rd. location in Richmond, and working there 40 years before retiring. Mr. Watkins attended
Grace Baptist Church, Chesterfield, VA. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and loved riding his Harley Davidson. Mr. Watkins is survived by his children, Bonnie G. Conrecode and husband, Edward, Vaiden E. Watkins, Jr., Thomas A. Watkins, and Kimberly Waldemeyer and husband, William; grandchildren, Edward, III and Dana Conrecode, Amber, Justin, Shawna, Devan, Thomas, Daniel, and Nina Watkins; great grandchildren, Theadore, Maya, and Ski; and other family and friends. A visitation will take place on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. Condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
