Vanessa Fuzy Hughes

Vanessa Fuzy Hughes, 59, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Born in El Paso, Texas she was the daughter of the late Melba Amelia Bowers; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Allen Fuzy. She is survived by her son, Chuck Hughes and wife, Heather; her daughter, Amy Hughes and husband, Franklin Antonio; three grandchildren, Robert Chase Alan Hughes, Bailey Steven Hughes and Ahriana Nicole Antonio; three sisters, Delila Mitchell and husband, Mike, Johanna Fuzy and husband, Wayne Lewis and Rose Marie Bailey Hemming and husband, Donald; seven nieces and nephews, Dennis E. Burnete, Brandon L. Mitchell, Terry J. Gavin, Rebekka Gavin, Jessica Lewis, Amanda Leatherwood, Joseph Bailey and Heather Bailey; and many great-nieces and nephews. Vanessa will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her family takes comfort in knowing her last day she was able to enjoy the things she enjoyed most, walking the beach, watching the sunset and loving her family and friends. The world will miss her infectious smile and laughter .The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
