Vaughn Reish

Vaughn Ardell Reish, 81, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011. He served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a Gideon member in the Hopewell-Prince George Camp. He was a long time member of the West End Presbyterian Church and was an Elder Emeritus. He served as leader of the â??Boys Brigadeâ? and a Sunday School teacher to the Junior Boys at West End Presbyterian Church. He was also a past Sunday School Superintendent. He served on the West End Christian Day School Commission. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Irene Workman Reish; and a brother, Robert C. Reish. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Reish; his son, Tim Reish and wife Diane; a daughter, Joy R. Haynes; grandchildren, Charity and Joshua Reish, Calvin Brown, and Tanya and Tara Fleetwood; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Lowell, Gloria Sue Carson, and Virginia Rupert; loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Bermuda Memorial Park in Chester, VA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 26, at West End Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wayne R. Good officiating.
