Vera Crowder

Vera Munford Dilday Crowder, 87 of Prince George died June 22, 2008 in Hopewell. She was a native of Petersburg and the daughter of the late James Fenton and Luna Munford. Retiring after 35 years at Ft. Lee, she was a member of the Prince George Womenâ??s Club, participated in Downtown United Churches, Petersburg High School Class of â??38 and organized their 50th and 55th reunions. She worked to create Petersburg High School scholarship with childhood friend Thomas Randall. She is survived by her husband, John E. Crowder, Jr., son, Graham Thomas Dilday, Jr. and wife, Roxanne; four grandchildren, David Dilday, Stephanie Chase, Amy Quidley and Dana Lund and husband, Michael. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 am, Wednesday June 25, 2008 at the Second Presbyterian Church with the Dr. Daniel E. Hale officiating. The interment will be in Blandford Cemetery.
