Vernie Lee Miller

Vernie Lee Miller, 64, of Chester, passed away on February 28, 2014. Born in Keyser, West Virginia, he was the son of the late William E. Jr., and Virginia Miller; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda C. Miller. Mr. Miller was a United States Navy Veteran. Vernie was a loving husband, father and Pap Pap. He is survived by his four daughters, Vicky Miller, Jennifer Dalton and husband, Randy, Tina Best and husband, Josh, and Leslie Miller; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley and Jean. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leon Figard. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hopewell American Legion Post 146, 217 E.
