Vernon Meredith Arvin Jr

Vernon Meredith Arvin, Jr. 74, of Hopewell passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
“Bubba” or Vern to his family, “Stick” to his friends served his Country in the US Army. He was a proud member of Millwright Local 1402, ret., and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting in the wilds of Kentucky, fishing, NASCAR and floating the river on his pontoon boat. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon Meredith Sr. and Evelyn Nomia Arvin, His two sisters Carol Sue Arvin Grant, Cynthia Ann Arvin; and his beloved wife Betty Lou. He is survived by his nephew Dale Gross (Nora), Stepchildren Brandon Crisp (Amy), Vicky Yates (Jim) Wesley Ansteatt and Pete Donnelly (Cheryl); also extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held, 11:00 am, Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
