Riordan, Vincent Paul Jr., 79, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Philip S. Riordan and leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Margaret Mary (Hines) Riordan. He is survived by his sister, Joan Belanger and her husband, John; brother, Michael Riordan and his wife, Mary, and sister-in-law, Marie Riordan. He is also survived by daughter, Joan Ellen Robinson and her husband, Greg; grandsons, Cameron and Chad; daughter, Margaret Ann Stevens; grandson, Joshua and granddaughter, Megan and son, Vincent Paul Riordan III and his wife, Mea; granddaughter, Colleen and grandson, Vincent Paul IV, and many nephews, nieces, and great grandchildren. Vincent was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, the oldest son of Vincent Paul Riordan Sr., and Marguerite Marie (McGrath) Riordan. He moved to Arlington, VA in 1957 where he served in the Army’s 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) from 1957 to 1960 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Reserve in 1963. Vincent worked for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency; 27 years as a communications staff officer and 9 years as a technical contractor. Vince was a lover of music and sang in the teen vocal club ‘Fabulons’ in the mid-50’s. He also loved football and was a huge fan of his hometown team, New England Patriots. A wake will be held, Thursday, March 23, from 6 until 8 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA, and is also where the funeral service will be held, Friday, March 24, at 10:00 am. Burial service will be at Virginia Veterans Cemetery (Amelia), 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, VA at 2:00 p.m. the same day.
