Virginia Baird

Virginia Sessums Baird, age 76, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was born in Blackstone, VA, the daughter of the late David L. and Martha Watson Sessums. Mrs. Baird was also preceded in death by her son, Lawrence W. Baird; and sisters, Joyce Berry and Vivian Lail. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lonnie F. Baird, Jr.; children, Carol B. Burgess and her husband, John, D. Keith Baird and his wife, Amy; daughter-in-law, Stella I. Baird; grandchildren, Stacy Kelly, Michael Burgess, Sean Burgess, Christina Baird, Hillary Baird, Jason Baird, Kevin Baird and Sarah Hackney; six great-grandchildren; a brother, David E. Sessums, Sr.; and a sister, Marylyn McQuage. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
