Virginia Bishop

Mrs. Virginia Lorean Bishop, of Petersburg was called home on Saturday, May 05, 2007. Mrs. Bishop was a born in South Hill the daughter of the late Willie and Alma Cox. She was the widow of Vernon Lee Bishop who was called home February 23, 1997. Mrs. Bishop was an employee of Diamond Meat Co for many years. She is survived by her 11 children, Goldie Hawkins, Barbara Medeiros, Diane Williams, Pansy Sieber, Vernon Bishop, Jr., JoAnn Travis, Rose Bishop, Kathleen Bishop, Betty Ford, Timothy Bishop, Cecil Bishop; numerous grandchildren; brother Robert Cox and wife Liz of Disputanta; half-sister Alma Stumbo of Petersburg; aunt Jere Perkins of Hopewell; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8th from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
