VIRGINIA "POLLY" CARSON, 82, passed away August 5, 2006. Born in Parsons KS on October 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Wass. Polly was a homemaker, loving wife, and resident of Wakefield for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Cleveland Carson, Sr., brother, Harold (Bud) Wass, a young brother, Jimmy, and a half-brother, Tony.
Polly is survived by a daughter, Mildred Carson Beek; three sons, Dean Carson, Jerry Carson and Elwood Carson, Jr.; a brother, Bill Wass of Parsons KS; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006, 3:00 p.m. at the Wakefield Baptist Church, with Rev. Jim Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
