Virginia Collie

Virginia Murray Collie, 87, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was born in Jeffries, Virginia, daughter of the late Dolphus Young and Martha Fitts Murray. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Louis Collie. Virginia was a lifelong member of Kingsland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was also an avid prayer warrior. She is survived by her sons, Kyle T. Collie and wife, Karen and Donnie W. Collie, both of Richmond. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Road, Richmond, 23237. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Kingsland Baptist Church.
