Virginia Davis

Virginia Walker Davis, 84, of Hopewell, died, Monday, March 1, 2004 in John Randolph Nursing Home. She was born in Williamston, NC. Mrs Davis was retired from the Social Service Department of John Randolph Medical Center. She was predeceased by her parents, Mayo and Irma Coburn Leggett, her first husband, Marable M. “Mickey” Walker and her 2nd husband, Merton D. Davis. Surviving are two sons, Melvin Gerald Walker of Brooklyn New York, and James T. Walker of Milton, Florida, five grandchildren, David Walker, Wendy Dillon, Jerry Walker II, Melissa Fenderson, Jason Walker and four great-grandcjhildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 4, 2004 from 7-9PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with a Devotional Service at 8 PM. The procession will leave the Funeral Home at 9:45 for the 10:00 AM service Friday at the Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Va. The family is being served by the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral home.
