Virginia M. L. Elmore

Virginia Lewis Elmore, 86, most recently of Gloucester, VA, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Julius Herbert and Margaret Clough Lewis and the widow of Branch Elmore. She is predeceased by her daughter Eileen Ethridge Teachey and her brother Julius H. Lewis, Jr. She loved her church Second Baptist and her church family of Petersburg, VA. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Faye Ethridge Crone and husband, Charles of Gloucester, VA; son, Charles Richard (Ricky) Ethridge and wife Sue of Disputanta; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Louise Lewis Frye of Yale, VA; brother, Perry Alton Lewis of Carson and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O.
