Virginia Elmore

Virginia Moore Elmore, 78, of Colonial Heights, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004. She was a native of Chesterfield Co. and the daughter of the late John F. Moore and Mattie Temple Moore Hobbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Burke Elmore and a daughter, Susan Temple Elmore. Mrs. Elmore retired after many years of service from Southside Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse and a dedicated volunteer. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Elmore Anderson (Neil) of Fairfax and Tracy Elmore of Colonial Heights; three granddaughters, Karen, Kelley and Kristin Anderson; one sister, Dorothy Sutton of Hopewell; one brother, Joseph Hobbs of Michigan; and a cousin, Jean Lowrey of Florida. Interment services will be private. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2004 at Second Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
