Virginia Dell Whitmore English, 82, of Hopewell died Saturday, May 27, 2006 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Prince George County and had been a lifetime resident of this area. Mrs. English was the daughter of the late George W. & Kate Loughridge Whitmore and the widow of Ernest Edison English. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Christine E. Jones of Prince George, three nieces, Linda Wyatt, Carolyn J. Temple, both of Prince George, Kaye J. Sawyer of Hopewell, two nephews, Buddy Jones and Tim Jones, both of Prince George and great nieces, Katie, Kristy & Jill and great nephews, Nicholas, Floyd, Maury, Rodney and Brandon. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Troy Kaichen officiating. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
