Virginia Hale

Virginia Thompson Hale, of Chester, VA, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2004 after a long illness. She was born December 24, 1921 in Pulaski County, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Tipton Hale, Sr. and her son, Raymond T. Hale, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Louise Trail of Colonial Heights, VA and her brother, H. F. (Sonny) Thompson of Chesterfield, VA. She has several nieces and nephews located in Chesterfield, Roanoke, Pulaski, and Dublin, VA. She served in the U. S. Army during WWII, was retired from Allied Chemical ‘B’ plant in Chesterfield, and was a member of Salem Baptist Church for many years. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Road, Chester. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
